Theatre of Will is a non-profit arts education program dedicated to promoting the principle that the performing arts serve a vital role in child development. Willard Simms is its President and Artistic Director. An award winning playwright and journalist, Mr. Simms has also served on the Board of The Museum of the San Fernando Valley since its inception in 2005.

His hands on theater arts programs have been performed to over 100,000 Los Angeles students, sponsored by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, L. A.'s Best After School Program, Enrichment Works, Department of Water and Power, Metropolitan Water District, City Council District 3, City Council District 12, Brighton Collectibles, and the West Valley PALS.

He is the author of 11 published plays and 16 television dramas. Mr. Simms also taught in the UCLA Writers program for many years, and is an expert in history, having written many historical dramas for television and the theatre. He is also an accomplished jounalist who has written a variety of pieces about the history of his own San Fernando Valley. He has a Bachelors Degree from the University of Denver and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Oklahoma.
